Ehime

Ehime is located on Shikoku Island. Shikoku pilgrimage visits 88 temples related to Buddhist monk Kukai (Kobo Daishi) on Shikoku island. Twenty-seven of the temples are located in Ehime Prefecture. The pilgrims are called Ohenro and take the long 750 miles course on foot. Shimanami Kaido bridge has a dedicated bike lane connecting Honshu and Shikoku. It’s 43 miles long and is one of the most scenic cycling courses in the nation. Ehime is known for 40 different varieties of citrus, and delicious seafood, such as red snappers, seawater eels, octopuses. The Capitol is Matsuyama City.
