Kagawa
Kagawa is located northeast of the island of Shikoku. It is the smallest prefecture yet offers many charming sightseeing spots. It is also the endpoint of the Shikoku Pilgrimage, in which you visit 88 temples associated with the Buddhist monk, Kukai (Kobo Daishi). It’s 750 miles route, and the pilgrims travel on foot. Kagawa is known for Udon noodles. It consumes the most amount of delicious noodles in the nation. Kagawa is also known for rare Olive Wagyu. The cattle raised on Shodoshima Island are fed toasted olive peels. It’s considered one of the best Wagyu in Japan. Naoshima island has become an excellent site for modern art. The Capitol is Takamatsu City.
