Nara

Nara is in the Kansai Region of Honshu. Nara area was called Yamato and had Japan’s first permanent capital, Heijo, in 710. For this reason, naturally, Nara has numerous historically significant buildings and monuments. Todaiji Temple is the most famous and has the world's most giant bronze Buddha statue. The famous Nara Park where you encounter friendly deer is nearby. 48 Buddhist monuments around the Horyuji Temple is a World Heritage. Mt. Yoshino has majestic cherry blossom and is also a World Heritage. Nara offers persimmon leaf wrap sushi, Sukiyaki, Nyumen noodles, ramen, and Yamato Gyu beef. The Capital is Nara City.
