When it comes to Japanese cuisine, people usually think of Sushi. Recently, however, I’d say ramen noodles are more popular in the US. There are ramen restaurants everywhere in California. And I’ve yet to meet a local who hasn’t at least tried a bowl of ramen. Most people associate noodles with fast, cheap, and easy meals. But did you know that ramen can also be Michelin star-level
cuisine? Now you do!
HOT TIP:
These ramen shops were given Michelin stars: Nakiryu, Konjiki Hototogisu, and Ginza Hachigo. If you’re lucky enough to go to one of these restaurants, you’ll see why they are so deserving of Michelin stars. Also, I have to mention Tsuta ramen (https://www.tsuta79.tokyo) as the world’s first ramen shop to be awarded a Michelin star. I’m also including Mutekiya in Ikebukuro, who was awarded “Trip Advisor 2020 Travel Choice.” Try any of these restaurants, and you’ll never look at ramen the same again!
