You might have heard of a sushi restaurant, Sukiyabashi Jiro, because of his documentary film, “Jiro Dreams of Sushi.” Former President Obama and many Hollywood celebrities have enjoyed his sushi. You also may have visited sushi restaurants that are difficult to get into. But Here’s a sushi place that is so exclusive. It’s only accessible by boat or helicopter: Sushi Yutaka Zen
This restaurant is in Ago Bay of Ise-Shima National Park. Ago Bay is home to over 60 islands of various sizes, and the sushi place is on the remote island of Mazakijima. There are only six counter seats, which limits the reservation to one party per day. There is no menu as it offers only Omakase (in other words, the chef decides what you will eat!)
HOT TIP:
You can join an exclusive club and make a reservation at Sushi Yutaka Zen via the following helicopter companies.
It takes about 90 minutes from Tokyo and 45 minutes from Kyoto by helicopter. A day trip is also possible, but now they offer luxurious lodging called Moku Iseshima. They only take one party of up to eight guests at a time.
I certainly cannot afford to go to this restaurant. Just to join the club will cost thousands of dollars, not to mention paying for transportation. So I’m waiting for an invitation from my readers! I’m ready anytime!
