Yamanashi

Yamanashi is located in the Chubu Region of the main island of Honshu. The Northern half of Mt. Fuji and the Fuji Five Lake is Yamanashi. It is the highest mountain in Japan, rising to 12,388 feet. The mountain and the 25 surrounding sites are World Heritage sites. Mt. Fuji, we call it Fuji San, is considered the symbol of the nation and has a special place in the hearts of the Japanese people. Yamanashi is known for its excellent farming area and offers fantastic fruits, such as strawberries, Asian pears, grapes, peaches, and many more.

The Capital is Kofu City.
